Gazi Abbas was admitted as a solicitor in 2018 and had been practising in the legal area for more than 5 years prior to his admission, specialising primarily in criminal law. Gazi began his legal career in the government sector prior to joining the firm, where he gained excellent expertise in Family Litigation, Civil Law, and the Serious Indictable Unit in Crime.

Gazi then worked as a paralegal at South West Legal Centre in the criminal division whilst pursuing a law degree. While in his penultimate year of law school, Gazi found himself at ALS, the Aboriginal Legal Service, where he finished his Practical Legal Training (‘PLT’).

During his time at ALS, Gazi worked as a member of the Supreme Court Bail Team, obtaining valuable experience in preparing bail applications for accused persons from a variety of backgrounds, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Gazi has established working ties with famous criminal barristers in Sydney, briefing and instructing in trials and sentences. Gazi has also dealt with several high-profile instances in the media which have gained him a coveted position in the legal profession as he is recognised for his fierce advocacy in the courtroom.
